SODA Data Vision 2023

Data Vision 2023, organized by SODA Foundation, took place in Bilbao, Spain, on September 18, in conjunction with LF OSS Europe. We had 400+ attendees who joined us in person and online for a full day of 4 keynotes, 10 sessions, and 2 panel discussions.

This event brought leading experts, architects, developers, end users, vendors, and integrators together to discuss the most recent innovations, future trends, use cases, and practical challenges for data and storage.

Organizations represented include Kurago, SUSE, Veeam Software, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, VMware, Futurewei, Altinity Inc., Armo Ltd., BAIDATA, Caze Labs, Dojo, Gaia-X, IKERLAN, Lainotik Platform, OnGres, Treeverse, OpenUK, Tecnalia Research & Innovation and CNCF.

In the Students Challenge, the top winner, Som Shanker Pandey, received a year of SUSE eLearning Silver subscription worth $2,500. Three more winners, Utkarsh Umre, Vaishali Rawat, and Kelvin Parmar, each received one free access to Kubernetes for Developer Course, worth $150.

The event featured 6 conference sessions, 3 lightning talks and 1 ﬁreside chat presented by 15 speakers from 10 industry leading organizations, such as Futurewei, TOYOTA Motor Corporation, KIOXIA Corporation, SoftBank Corporation, Yahoo! JAPAN Corporation, NTT Communications, JDSF, NTT DATA Corporation and Cybozu, Inc.
